An immersible (or submersible) ultrasonic transducer box is a sealed, corrosion-resistant enclosure fitted with an array of piezoelectric ultrasonic transducers. It is lowered or fixed into a liquid-filled tank and, when connected to an ultrasonic generator, converts electrical energy into high-frequency ultrasonic vibrations. These vibrations create millions of microscopic cavitation bubbles in the liquid, which implode against the surface of components to remove dirt, oil, oxide layers, and other contaminants — or to enhance chemical/physical processes such as mixing and degassing
